• A Page may have to be Migrated from VP to HP to make room for a new Page - MVPG
• ADMF attempts to keep 128 or 256 Pages free in VP
  • 2500+ Buffers Provides a 256 Page Free Queue
• ADMF migrates 125 Pages at a Time
  • Not ‘Dirty’ Pages
• This creates truly ‘Free’ Pages in the VP
  • Reduces Overhead to Read Pages into the Pool

The ‘Free Page’ queue improves performance because a target page does not have to located from one of the normal LRU queues, and will not have to be migrated to the HP before a page is available for a new data page.
