• Most Installations can Optimize Performance using Five to Eight Pools
• Some Large Installations may Require a Few More...Perhaps up to Twelve
• Don’t Go Crazy Using a Lot of Pools, Unless You can Prove the Performance Benefit without Wasting Memory
• Too Many Pools will Create an Administrative and Performance Tracking Problem
• Using Pools on an Application Basis, is Not a Good Approach
